Leonard H. Blount: Principal

Leonard started his career as an insurance professional in southeast Georgia more than 25 years ago. He is the former president of Blount, Burke, Wimberly and Hendricks Insurors in Statesboro, Georgia, serving with the firm from 1986-2011. Leonard was the co-owner and vice president of Paradigm Administrators, a third-party administration company headquartered in Atlanta, from 2001-2005. He then worked as a consultant for the insurance industry and large self-insured employers from 2005 until co-founding Capstone Benefits Consulting in 2012. 

Leonard served as the president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia from 1989-99. During his term as state president, the Georgia chapter received the highest national honor awarded by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, the Best State Association Award, in 1998. Leonard is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in business. He is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, and is a resident of Statesboro, Georgia.

Benjamin B. Watkins III: Principal

Ben has worked in the insurance, managed care and benefits management arenas for 20 years, starting with his role as vice president of managed care for Blount, Burke, Wimberly and Hendricks Insurors in Statesboro, Georgia, from 1992-98. Ben was the director of business development and managed care for Bulloch Memorial Hospital, a consultant for the Georgia Healthcare Partnership and served as director of regional physician development for Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. 

From 2001-04, Ben was a consultant for the managed care division of Memorial Health Partners, then served as director of provider solutions health services and sales for Zavata, Inc. in Atlanta from 2004-05. He provided employer benefits management services as the principal of Watkins Consulting Services from 2005 until co-founding Capstone Benefits Consulting in 2012. Ben attended Davidson College and Georgia Southern University, and he resides in Statesboro, Georgia.

Reed Damron: Principal

Reed started in the employee benefits field in 1992, including over 12 years in the Third Party Administration and stop-loss field. Reed successfully built the sales and service organization for HPS/Paradigm, a leading southeastern TPA. He was instrumental in the growth and development of that firm ultimately positioning the company for merger in June 2004. Reed started his career in employee benefits with a major southeastern brokerage firm and worked for EBP/First Health, the country's largest administrative services firm. Reed specializes in claims control strategies, stop-loss contracting, alternative funding, managed care processes and procedures for insured and self-funded clients. Reed has worked with a diverse group of clients, public and private, ranging from small closely held organizations to large corporate customers. 

He has a BBA degree from the University of Georgia in Risk Management/Insurance. He holds the designations of Registered Employee Benefit Consultant (REBC) and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). On a personal note, Reed actively coaches business leaders and families in need through various Church affiliations and programs. Reed is married with 2 children and enjoys rooting for “his” Georgia Bulldogs and playing golf whenever possible. Reed and his wife Kelly are active in their church, they volunteer with various youth organizations and ministries for those in need. They are also active volunteers with Camp Sunshine, which is a wonderful organization focused on Children with cancer and their families.

Sean Lankie: Principal

Sean started in the employee benefits field in 1990 and began his brokerage and consulting career in 1998. Sean’s background and experience include Senior Management, Field Management and Director roles with both Regional and National insurance carriers and TPAs including Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Georgia, First Health, Benefit Resources Inc., and ESIX/Brown & Brown. Sean’s clients include both small and large organizations, both local and national in scope, including a special emphasis on companies involved in the sporting industry. 

Sean’s expertise spans the entire employee benefits arena including technical aspects of compliance, tax qualified plans, underwriting, claims experience analysis, carrier/administrator negotiations and benefits technology/outsourcing. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Georgia in Risk Management/Insurance. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma where he received his BBA in Finance. Sean is saddled with the insurmountable task of keeping up with his high school sweetheart, Kim and his three debits: Sam, Sarah and Jacob. As such, he has little time for himself and he must work hard for you!
